LONDON, 16th November, 2011 – Cisco has received an iF design award for its Linksys E4200 Wireless-N home router. The E-Series router was selected out of 2,923 submissions in the “product design” category. The judges considered criteria such as design quality, degree of innovation, ergonomics, brand value and branding as well as aspects of universal design. All award winners will be presented in the iF online exhibition at the iF website.

The award-winning Linksys E4200 Wireless-N router is the most advanced member of the Linksys E-Series family, with wireless speeds up to 450 Mbps*, offering the optimal bandwidth needed for HD video streaming throughout the home. The E4200 has been crafted by the Cisco home networking design teams and is built on a single thin floating plane. Its design helps hide cables and ports, and the flashing LED lights on the back of the product can be switched off to allow for a calmer environment, which is ideal for placement in bedrooms or entertainment centres.

All award-winning entries from all four iF design awards 2012 will be presented at the iF design exhibition in Hannover, which will run in parallel to CeBIT (06 – 10 March 2012) at the Hannover exhibition centre. Additionally, all entries will also be shown at the iF design exhibition in Hamburg, right in the centre of the new HarborCity Hamburg – a superb meeting point for everyone interested in design and architecture. And finally, the iF award winning entries will also travel to China to be presented at the iF design exhibition in Hainan, one of the most attractive locations in China, both in terms of tourism and business.
